Namier Role

1

Process

Namier initially helped IMSTAR run M&A process in November 2018, when Namier approached over 50 potential strategic buyers and partners.

We shortlisted 6 parties in Europe, the US, Taiwan and China.

2

Testing

Having tested the market in this way, it was concluded that IMSTAR should secure a higher overall value by, in the first instance, raising capital and demonstrating it was capable of achieving certain commercial milestones.

3

Fundraising

In order to prepare the company for the fundraise, Namier worked with IMSTAR on marketing materials, business plan and financial model.

4

Commercialisation

In parallel, Namier attracted a Senior Advisor with career in Roche and other large biotech companies who helped map out commercialisation process and found a suitable CEO for the company with a successful career in Philips.

Result

Once IMSTAR was finance-ready, Namier engaged with several family offices and private equity funds with a special focus on health tech.

The company is currently under due diligence with a fund and a portion of the investment round has been committed by a family office and a HNW individual who has also been enabling essential industry contacts.

Continuous Support

We have helped IMSTAR to negotiate two joint ventures in China and several commercial partnerships in Europe.

Meanwhile, the new CEO has activated the marketing plan and initiated client outreach.

The fundraise is expected to close in July 2020.
