The Namier Healthcare team is led by Stewart McCrone and Moira Bowdrey.
Stewart McCrone
Stewart spent the majority of his career at Royal Philips where, as Head of Strategy, M&A and Ventures, he was one of the lead architects in transforming the company from an electronics player to a major force in the healthcare industry.
Over the last decade, Stewart has led dozens of healthcare acquisitions, multi-billion dollar divestments, and initial public offerings as well as the creation of a successful venture portfolio.
Moira Bowdrey
Dr Moira Bowdrey is a distinguished scientist and engineer with a first-class academic background from Oxford, Harvard and Cambridge universities.
Over the past 20 years, Moira has worked in engineering and project and product management at a series of healthcare startups. Moira is currently an Enterpreneur in Residence at the London Institute for Health Engineering.

We invest in and facilitate the development of healthcare companies that are around the Series A stage with a focus on medical devices, digital health and biopharma. We join forces with scientists, healthcare professionals and entrepreneurs to positively impact companies operating in those fields
As well as direct investment and funding facilitation, we offer support in expanding the customer base, reaching new markets, supply chain, intellectual property and partnerships.
We aim to become a trustworthy, long-term partner to our portfolio companies. From initial funding at around Series A stage, through follow on rounds, we aim to ensure the best possible outcome for entrepreneurs, investors and indeed the healthcare system as a whole

Enteral Access Technologies
Enteral Access Technologies (E.A.T.) has FDA approval for its medical device – DoubleCHEK™. DoubleCHEK™ dramatically reduces the risk of feeding tube misplacement in hospitals. It is positioned to become the gold standard in its class.
Celex Oncology
Celex has developed a pill that significantly reduces mortality from cancer with minimal side effects. It has an extensive patent portfolio and a pan-cancer treatment that is confirmed as responsive in 20 different cancer types. Celex is pre-phase II stage, with trials expected to start at the end of 2025.
CardioSight
Allows surgeons to see optically (versus imaging) inside the heart, while performing heart repairs using a camera equipped catheter device. It is designed to provide near-field visualisation to guide surgical instruments delivered through its working channel into the beating heart. With its chip-on-tip camera technology it is intended to allow direct visualisation of target cardiac tissues and instrument/tissue interaction, and to open the way to the development of novel minimally invasive procedures.
